Standing at 1,894m (6214 ft)Orjen is the tallest mountain in Boka Bay and a hike worth doing when visiting this part of Montenegro. With medium physical difficuly, get ready to experience the breathtaking views of Boka Bay in this 7-8 hours long hike. After you're done, you can go straight to the Adriatic sea for a dip and quick cooling down.

Kotor and its Bay are lesser known destination for hikers in Montenegro, known more for their stunning natural beauty and rich history. Located on the Adriatic Sea, the Bay of Kotor is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and offers many hiking trails that give stunning views of the sea and the surrounding landscape.

 

One popular hike is the Ladder of Kotor, a 1360 steps that take you to the top of the San Giovanni fortress(from where you can see the entire Bay of Kotor stretched out below you. Wanna put those legs to the test? From San Giovanni (St. John's Fortress) continue upwards and try and conquer Pestingrad Peak! Definitely worth the hike and afer you're done you can come by Restobar Taraca for some freshly squeezed juices & healthy food choices.

Perfect spot for hikers looking to add a little bit of culture to their outdoor adventures. It offers panoramic views of the Bay of Kotor as well as the surrounding landscapes which include most of Montenegro.

 

One of the most popular trails is the Kotor to Lovcen hike, which takes you to the top of the mountains Lake Peak where you can visit the highest Mausoleum in the world. Bare in mind that you are entering Lovcen National Park so you'll need to pay entrance fees to both NP & the Mausoleum. But it is deffinitely worth it!

Kapa Moračka is a towering, majestic peak located in the breathtaking Morača Mountains of Montenegro.

 

If you're planning a visit to Kapa Moračka, you'll want to follow the winding road that leads to this awe-inspiring peak. Starting from Niksic, on the way to the picturesque village of Mala Lukavica where you can see Mali Žurim (one of the most beutiful peaks in Montenegro) and from there proceeding on foot towards the breathtaking Kapetanovo Jezero (Captiain's Lake). From there follow the path and the markings until you reach the top. The view from the summit is out of this world!
