Canyoning experience is a non-factor. Our professional and helpful canyoning guides will ensure that everyone enjoys a safe and thrilling adventure. We will start the Montenegro Canyoning Tour through Nevidio Canyon at our meeting point at 7:00 am. After 20 minutes, our first brief stop is the small baroque town of Perast, where we’ll see two famous islands – Our Lady of the Rocks and St. George – which are perfect photo opportunities!
As we ascend above Risan Bay, the magnificent views escalate. So we stop to take photos of the rising sun above this majestic panorama. Leaving the Bay of Kotor behind, we continue to traverse ranges of lofty peaks.
We soon pass Salt Lake, located near Nikšić, the second-biggest city in Montenegro. After passing Nikšić, it’s time to fill up with energy—breakfast break! Enjoy delicious food in the Floyd food factory.
We finally reached our destination after another hour of driving on wavy roads above Šavnik! We are ready for the canyon adventure after meeting our tour guides and a short briefing.
Getting our gear on! All you’ll need is a swimsuit to wear underneath (not recommended: cotton shirts or underwear) and sneakers. We are entirely ready for 8⁰C water that awaits us.
And now, the adventure begins! Canyon Nevidio is part of Mala Komarnica, a river that rises at the pedestal of the southern part of Durmitor, precisely in Dobri Do. The unique beauty of the gorge, cascades, and sparkling waterfalls that keep Nevidio Canyon is reason enough to visit this incredible jewel of Montenegro. After we enter Canyon Nevidio, we are about 50 meters from the top, and the first jump awaits us. After this jump, it’s hard to go back, so keep going forward. Montenegro canyoning starts!
The biggest part of the canyon is in eternal shadow. Because of the cliffs, sunlight cannot reach the bottom. The vegetation is harsh on these sheer and hardly reachable rocks, so one can say that the canyon is a pearl of cruel nature or heaven and hell simultaneously.
For all adrenaline seekers, ask your guide to point out cliffs and rocks particularly good for jumping into small natural pools! Just make sure your GoPro is on! If you are not comfortable jumping, there is always another way down. Your guide will help you abseil down the rope safely!
We will need about 3-5 hours to pass through the canyon, and a 40-minute hike awaits us to return to Pošćenje.
After our little hike, we will return to the village, change into dry clothes, and head to Ethno Village to taste traditional Montenegrin food.
Around 4.00 pm, we shall be ready to continue towards Kotor and arrive back at around 6.00 pm.
When applying, please consider summer traffic jams and unpredictable site delays, which could cause the return time to be later than proposed. We always do our best to respect the schedule.
